Held in Añatuya

Mundo Sano Annual Meeting

Representatives from all Mundo Sano Operation Centers reflected, during two days, on the programs developed with the aim to avoid the spread of neglected diseases.

As is customary every year, people in charge of Mundo Sano Operation Centers-Buenos Aires, Añatuya, Clorinda, Puerto Iguazú, Pampa del Indio and Tartagal-held meetings to reflect upon the work carried out and the strategies that must be implemented for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the neglected diseases affecting our country.

The meeting was held on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 June, 2011 at the Center Mundo Sano inaugurated in Añatuya, province of Santiago del Estero, in 2002.

Among those taking part were: Mundo Sano's General Manager, Sonia Tarragona, Mundo Sano's Program and Project Manager, Marcelo Abril, and the people in charge of the different Mundo Sano's Operation Centers: Cinthia Delgado from Pampa del Indio, Chaco; Evangelina Aldama from Clorinda, Formosa; Eliana Guillard from Tartagal, Salta; Gladys Fattore from Puerto Iguazú, Misiones, and Graciela Cejas from Añatuya, Santiago del Estero.

In a relaxed working environment, the results of the dengue prevention and control campaigns in Tartagal were addressed, as well as the progress made on the research on Aedes Aegypty carried out in Clorinda, and the actions intended to improve housing conditions in Santiago del Estero so as to avoid vector transmission of Chagas disease.

Within a framework of intense reflection and debate, Mundo Sano directors encouraged the working teams to continue going along the path of continuous growth, and presaged great institutional challenges for the rest of the year.
