All Latin American countries can have access to medicines to treat Chagas disease

Benznidazole had been discontinued until its production was started in 2012 by means of a public-private partnership in Argentina.

Experts from all over the world will have discussions on Chagas disease

The 9th Edition of the Workshop on Imported Chagas Disease has taken place, organized by the Instituto de Salud Global of Barcelona (ISGlobal) in collaboration with Mundo Sano Foundation. It was held on 4 March, in Barcelona and it gathered experts from all over the world. It is estimated that there are around 50,000 to 68,000 infected people living in Spain.

Cochabamba will be the venue for an International Chagas meeting

Remarkable specialists will participate in the Semana Chagas – Enfermedad desatendida (Chagas-Neglected Disease Week) where entomological aspects, aspects of diagnosis and treatment and of the sanitary impact of Chagas disease will be addressed. This meeting will be open to the community and it will be organized by Ceades, DNDi, ISGlobal and Mundo Sano.
