THE DENGUE CONTROL EXPERIENCE IN CLORINDA RECEIVED SCIENTIFIC RECOGNITION

The experience of controlling the dengue-transmission mosquito that was carried out in the city of Clorinda (Formosa province) during 5 years by Fundación Mundo Sano was recently legitimated in the scientific world when an article reporting the development of the programme was published in the American journal PLoS (Public Library of Science), one of the most prestigious in the world in the matter.

MUNDO SANO AND THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH OF THE BUENOS AIRES PROVINCE LAUNCH A PROGRAMME TO FIGHT CHAGAS DISEASE

IN THE FACE OF NEW DENGUE CASES IN ARGENTINA, MUNDO SANO RECOMMENDS THAT CITIZENS SHOULD GET INFORMED TO ACHIEVE PROPER PREVENTION

Since there has been a proliferation of dengue cases in several provinces of Argentina, Mundo Sano addresses the residents in the areas currently at risk and seeks their collaboration with the local authorities in the tasks of eliminating water-filled containers and clearing the land in households' neighboring areas in order to prevent the disease-vector mosquito from breeding.

SCIENTISTS IN ARGENTINA DEVELOP NEW VACCINE AGAINST CANCER

Funded by ELEA Laboratories and Hugo Sigman, Argentine scientists have recently developed a new vaccine that could be effective in the treatment of lung tumours. Based on the promising results obtained during the initial stages of development, the vaccine is now expected to be tested in advanced clinical trials before its final approval by local health authorities.
